Lawton is a disgrace to the United States of America!!!
This town has some ridiculous standards, and enjoys scamming people out of their hard earned money over petty things such as a tail light being out.
Very unprofessional, very rude, these people should not have jobs with the city if they cannot control their behavior.

Lawton Oklahoma has the most unprofessional staff Ive ever seen, and Ive lived all over the USA.
The bailiffs were so kind. I've never received a ticket here so needless to say I was pretty nervous. What I wish I would have known before I arrived- if you enter a please of not guilty, even for a traffic ticket, a bond is due. My ticket was 195, my bond was 200 with an added non refundable 35 dollar bond fee for a total of 235. It must be payed in cash. You will also no be given a chance to iron out a plea at your first arraignment, you must pay your bond and you will have that opportunity at your next court date before you decide if you want to take your case to trial.
RIDICULOUS!
Edit: I had my pretrial today with the prosecutor. He was rigid with his plea offerings, but fair and more approachable than most sharing his job title. I was mildly upset with the outcome but I appreciate him taking the time to make sure all my questions were answered at length and that I completely aware of my obligations once I left the courtroom. He seems like a pleasant and morally upright prosecutor.
Very unprofessional. Very rude. I have never seen such a horrible set up. The judge acts like he hates his life... Then again, I would to if I went through all of the school just to end up being a judge in Lawton Municipal Court
