Terrible will charge you for even being 30 minutes late never will rent from them again
Military families, make sure you tell your schools processing centers not to use Budget. My husband went to get his vehicle from Budget on Thursday to use for 2 months. He told the tech before he left that it looked like one of the tires was low. Tech did nothing so my husband took it somewhere to get it filled. Turns out the tire has a slow leak and he has to fill it up twice a day. He took it back to have them fix the leak. They said because the tech did not note the defect and because the army does not get "road side assistance" coverage, there was nothing they could do. So my husband is having to spend his weekend and his funds (car rental is over $1,000.00 per month to begin with) to get a tire patched on a vehicle that was never given to him in a drivable state to begin with. Tell your schools clerks to use Hertz. My husband accidentally called them first about the leak thinking that was the rental place he used and they were willing to fix it on the spot no questions asked.
Awful.
Got into a wreck and long story short, got a runaround on the phone for hours, with the general consensus of "that's not my problem, let me transfer you."
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Don't go there.
Don't not rent a car from Budget rental, make sure you read everything in all the small print of paper. They will not tell you will that your getting charge twice for the same rate for one day, just for going over for a few hours late: And if you're running late turning the car in make you call them to let them know you are running late. If not you'll end up like me.
