Glad to see it reopen and run professionally; however, I believe that MWR really is missing the mark with its strategy to serve the Soldiers of FT Sill a means to fire their personally owned weapons. $10 daily range fee for non members is understandable; however, the audacity to charge a member $7 a day after a $100 annual membership fee per person is ridiculous! I would rather pay for targets than a range fee as a member. Also they are obviously sinking money into making the range workers comfortable and not putting it into improving the shooters range experience. The air conditioned building is nice for hot days but I didn't come to the range to watch cable tv...money wasted. I really believe that it only takes 1-2 workers max to run that range NOT 3...wasted money. How is the rifle range only 242 m long? They should be able to accommodate a 300-500m range even if it is just steel targets at that distance, just coordinate with range control. I don't believe this range will stay in operation very long, not when there are ranges like the OK Scrap club that offer you annual fees of $75 + low family members rates and provide a personal key to the gate. Their range is longer too, stretching out to 300m. Just my opinions, hope they make some changes so I can give them my business. God Bless America!

Pros and cons. It is really nice to have a relatively long-range (300 meter) rifle and pistol range that is somewhat exclusive. However, it has become readily apparent that there are more people in the US Army that do not appreciate having a range like this one than there are people that do appreciate having a range. Stupid, self-centered people who shoot the target holders, the metal posts that mark the distances, and don't pick up any of their spent shells should not be allowed to use the range. I am going to still utilize this range but I am taking my own targets, target holders, and sand bags from now on.

Laid back shooting range. Open wed-sat usually, unless something else is going on.

The new range is MUCH better than the old one. Nice set up. Really great to have some elbow room between lanes. The steel targets are awesome.

This range is a disgrace. First, ten dollars a day and wait for it....seven dollars a day for a hundred dollar a year membership. Second, the range facilities have not changed in over six years...same hot garbage yet it was free to shoot over the years so not a big deal until MWR got their hooks into it. Now that there is a cost there should be improvements but again, wait for it...nope, can't even manage to get known distance markers. Remarkable. Finally, I figured I could stomach giving up five dollars given the change in season and availability of new 50% off "twilight fees" but imagine this....I get to the range and there aren't any targets available because the guy with the keys to the target shed forgot the keys at home...AWESOME! Plus, I get this total excuse from the guy on why the place still sucks with no plan to improve it at all. So, I will ensure I let all I can know how terrible this range, and MWR's involvement with it, is.
